South Devon Relocations Move Tamsyn & Alex Wood to Devon
When we first had contact with Tamsyn about her prospective relocation to Devon, we could not have possibly imagined what we were about to discover about this inspirational young lady.
In 2006 Tamsyn, Alex and their beautiful children packed up their belongings and drove to South West France to start a new life. Their new life was everything they had ever dreamed it would be, until tragedy struck when Alex suffered a massive brain injury whilst playing rugby, which left the father of 4 blind, brain-damaged, epileptic and part paralysed. Alex was in a deep coma for 10 weeks and had two life saving brain operations. After 2 years in a rehabilitation care home, Tamsyn was desperate to have Alex home, but their home was unsuitable for his return and continued care, so Tamsyn decided to move to Devon to a specially modified property which could accommodate Alex and his needs.
When Andy & Peter heard this story, they were so touched by what this family had been through, they knew they wanted to help, but they wanted to put business to one side and help the Wood family personally. After a very brief chat, a decision was reached that South Devon Relocations would donate the entire removal fee for the removal to Alex's rehabilitation fund. Please feel free to visit Alex's website and make a donation yourself. www.makingwavesforalex.co.uk

South Devon Relocations Transport a Full Size Gorilla!
We've heard some strange requests in our time, but when I heard the answer-phone message saying 'we need a full size gorilla transported to London from Paignton Zoo' I actually thought I was hearing things! Once I had picked myself up off the floor and come to my senses, I soon discovered that we were being asked to transport a full size fibreglass gorilla to London! This sculpture was one of 30 life size gorillas made to bring awareness to The Great Gorilla Project and celebrate the 90th anniversary of Paignton Zoo. The gorillas were distributed to various different artists whose job it was to transform these magnificent sculptures into works of art before they were returned to Torbay for The Great Gorilla Trail set up around the beautiful English Rivera. The gorillas are soon to be auctioned off to raise money for the global support of conservation projects and help protect the most endangered primate species on the planet. Check out these impressive works of art at www.greatgorillas.org.uk
